DEPARTMENT OF VEHICLE AND DRIVERS LICENSE

 

LICENSING OFFICER: MARCH 2021 to PRESENT

  • Collect revenue and issue receipts for all revenue collected in the licensing/testing of drivers and motor vehicles, as well as for the registration and inspection of motor vehicles.

  • Responsible for maintaining cash float and reconciling cash reports on a daily basis.

  • Enter all cash transactions into the vehicle licensing computerized revenue collection system, which is based on specialized computer software.

  • Responsible for the collection of overdue fees and follow-up with customers or referral to the Finance team.

  • Responsible for maintaining the register of all registration plates, coupons and controlled stationary issued.

  • Interpret and advise customers on aspects of the Traffic Law/Regulations pertaining to the licensing of motor vehicles and drivers. Also, assist customers with any licensing issues in accordance with the Traffic Law/Regulations and Department Policy/Procedures.

  • Update and ensure accurate customer information is inputted into the vehicle licensing registration computer system.

  • Issuing Certificate of Registrations for new vehicles being registered and vehicle renewals as well as issuing drivers license cards for new drivers and renewals.
